This Privacy Policy describes how the Angelic Bible App (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application and related services.
When you create an account using Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email/password sign-up, we collect your name, email address, and a unique user identifier. For Apple and Google sign-in, this information is provided by the respective service. For email sign-up, we store your email and an encrypted password hash through Firebase Authentication. We do not have access to your plaintext password.
We collect information about how you use the app, including chapters read, bookmarks created, notes saved, prayer journal entries, and interactions with Shepherd (our AI spiritual companion). This data is used to personalize your experience and improve the app.
Messages you send to Shepherd are transmitted to our server and forwarded to the Anthropic API for processing. We do not permanently store the content of your Shepherd conversations on our servers. Conversations are processed in real-time and not retained after the response is generated. Anthropic’s data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.
We may collect device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics), and general usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics). This data helps us identify and fix bugs and improve performance.

We use Customer.io to send push notifications and in-app messages. Customer.io receives your user identifier and email address to deliver personalized communications. You can manage notification preferences in your device’s Settings.

We retain your account data and synced content (notes, bookmarks, highlights, prayers) as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data at any time through the app’s Settings. Shepherd conversation content is not retained after processing.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your data or request deletion through the app’s Settings or by contacting us.

The Angelic Bible App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will promptly delete it.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication through Apple and Google, and access controls on our servers. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
